Patan Multiple Campus and K&K College registered wins in the Thakur Nath Pant Memorial Inter-college Cricket Tournament here today. Patan Campus beat Caspion Valley College by seven wickets while K&K defeated Cosmos by 69 runs.
Batting first, Caspion scored 104 runs for the loss of nine wickets in their allotted 20 overs. Patan Campus chased the total in 16.2 overs losing only three wickets. Munna Jaiswal scored 22 off 24 balls including three fours and Pramohan Shrestha added 20 runs in 45 balls for Caspion.
Madhav Yadav took three wickets conceding 17 runs in four overs while Pawan Panthi and Ramesh Koirala claimed two wickets each for Patan Campus.
Joglal Thapa and Madhav Yadav struck 30 runs each for Patan Campus in their run chase. Munna Jaiswal bagged two wickets giving away eight runs in three overs while Sandip Raut claimed one wicket for Caspion. Madhav Yadav won the man of the match award.
In the other match, K&K scored a massive 174 runs for the loss of nine wickets in 20 overs. Pradip Pant scored 44 and Suraj Bariya hit 27 for K&K. Alon Rai and Yuyutsu Banjade shared three wickets each for Cosmos.
In reply, Cosmos managed only 115 runs. Tejashwi Kafle, Santosh Poudel and Pranay Kuikel took two wickets each for K&K. Bariya won the man of the match award.
