DAMAK: Thousands of residents in two VDCs of Morang have been facing severe drinking shortage due to mixing up of rainwater with potable water sources following an incessant rainfall for a week. Legang residents, who use water from local Bhuwa river, are forced to drink contaminated water, said Krishan Dhakal, a local. JAICA, which had supported a water project at remote hilly VDC of Barangi, has postponed its work due to the Maoist activities. This has resulted in a shortage of drinking water in the village. — HNS
