Hetauda, January 17:
Raju Nakarmi, 25, of Kathmandu’s Balambu VDC, who reached the Makwanpur district court today to present himself before the court, was abducted from the court premises.
Raju was made a defendant in a case filed by Ranju Nakarmi of Hetauda. She had challenged him to deny the relationship between him and a son borne of her. Ranju had filed the case to prove the father-son relationship.
An eyewitness said before Raju’s abduction an unidentified person was at the court making enquiries about him. District judge Udaya Prakash Chapagain said the abduction was a flagrant disregard of the court’s authority. CPN-Maoist Makwanpur district secretary Bijay said he had no knowledge of the abduction.
