Kavre: Vice-president of the Nepali Congress Sushil Koirala has said that the Nepali Congress is not against the establishment of a republic.

He said the party has been advocating democracy and the formation of a democratic republic for the last 65 years.

Speaking at the inaugural ceremony of eighth district convention of the Nepal Students’ Union Kavre chapter, Koirala said, “The NC will not act against the wishes of the people. If there is any party that suffered at the hands of autocracy, it is our party.”
