Mukti’s revival in Capital

Kathmandu:

The piled up tyres, the junkyard look and slightly demolished surrounding gave the concert whole grunge look it required. Almost everyone was clad in black and accessorised in rock-punk way with long dread locks or funky hair cuts — the entire crowd looked like a part of the rock cult. But the concert was not as good as everyone had expected it to be. Though everything looked perfect something was missing which made the whole musical experience a little boring. But thanks to HMG-Ministry of Rock, Looza, and Mukti and Revival for saving the day and Ides of March, a Ktm rocks annual event, that was held on March 10.

The event took off with bands like Arachinds, Vhumi, Obscured Nastik and Night playing some of their metal creations. Though initially it looked like the crowd was loving it, after some time they wanted no one but Mukti and Revival on stage.

The never-ending drum solo tried the crowd’s patience, however Robin Tamang brought things back to the cool side.

A superb performance by HMG-Ministry of Rock and their Deep Purple numbers made the crowd get up and enjoy.

And as soon as Mukti and Revival came on stage, the crowd forgot the waiting and the strenuous performances of the afternoon and jumped to the tunes of Na hera malai tarke nazar le and Chaubandi cholo, and other popular numbers. Mukti and Revival were playing after a five-year hiatus.

They also played one new song from their upcoming album.

The concert ended with Mukti and Revival jamming with Robin and Looza, which was a treat for all the rock lovers of the Capital.
