Kathmandu, March 10:
After losing his love in the people’s war, chief of the ANNISU-R Lekhnath Neupane tied the knot today with a young leader Astha Ghimire at a ceremony.
In the presence of hundreds of people including media people, party leaders and cadres, Neupane announced that the tie will remain until the couple sticks to the same ideology.
“We have made an agreement that both are free to rebel if they go through any ideological differences,” he said at a ceremony attended by both the deputy commanders of PLA Nanda Kishor Pun ‘Pasang’ and Janardan Sharma ‘Prabhakar’.
Neupane said he gifted a book written by Prachanda and some of his own creation to his bride. Ghimire is treasurer of the Kathmandu District Committee of the ANNISU-R. Neupane’s ex-wife Samikshya had died in an encounter some six months after they tied the nuptial knot at a similar function some three years ago.
“We want to change tradition of marriage in which lavish parties are held with lots of expenditure,” Ghimire said. All invitees were served light snacks following speeches by leaders.
