Kathmandu, March 16:

Republic is at your threshold now, get prepared to greet it,” Prachanda told a mass at the Khula Manch here today saying that the 238-year-old feudalism is “on the verge of demolition.”

Saying that the Nepalis are all set to give a “final knock” to demolish the root of feudalism, Prachanda issued an “urgent appeal” to the Nepalis to unite to avert possible disaster. “It is high time all Nepalis came together to avert conspiracies being hatched by reactionary forces and some foreign powers,” he said during the inaugural ceremony of the 2nd national convention of the Maoists sister organisation, Newa Rastriya Mukti Morcha.

He said the Nepalis are yet to achieve “complete victory” since there are “old faces”, trying to “taste the fruits”, which have been earned by the sacrifice of the Maoists. “Unless these faces are changed, complete victory is not possible.”

Prachanda said reactionary forces are trying to bring about split among the Nepalis by “bringing” people from across the borders. Cautioning that the country would undergo disaster if communal harmony were spoilt, he said that Nepalis should not hesitate to make sacrifices to save the country. He asked people to be cautious since conspiracies are being hatched to split the country by spending “millions” of rupees.
