Student body’s national meet

Kathmandu, April 1:

The national assembly of the All Nepal National Free Students Union (ANNFSU-sixth), earlier known as ANNFSU (Unified), today concluded with the endorsement of a 11-member central committee headed by Rajendra Dhungana.

The assembly elected Durga Sharma, Pushkar Sapkota and Surendra Bhandari as vice-president, Ram Bahadur Buda as general secretary, three secretaries-Bidhyanath Adhikary and Ghana Shyam Neupane and three members. The three-day assembly started from March 28.

The conference also decided to create an environment conducive to holding the constituent assembly polls. It said the ANNFSU-sixth will continue to struggle to reform the education sector.

Addressing a press meet, newly-elected president Rajendra Dhungana advocated the unilateral system. He said the federal system will split the country into a number of small states.
