NRT thrash BUC

LALITPUR: New Road Team (NRT) thrashed Boys Union Club (BUC) 8-1 in the third Nepal Bank ‘A’ Division Junior (U-14) League Football here on Thursday. Sulabh Maskey scored five and Shankar Shrestha struck two followed by one from Kumar Gurung for the winners while Pukar Thapa scored for BUC. In other matches, Sankata Kathmandu Mall beat NIB Friends 1-0 on a goal from Sanjan Lamichhane and Mahendra Police Club (MPC) played a 2-2 draw

against Armed Police Force (APF) Team. Shyam Sundar Thapa and Prakash Gurung replied for MPC after Buddha Lama and Safal Lama had put APF ahead. — HNS

Corporate cricket

KATHMANDU: Nepal Corporate Sports Association, with technical assistance from Cricket Association of Nepal, is organising the first Corporate Six A-Side Cricket Tournament here at the Tribhuvan University Stadiums on April 20-21. In all, 16 teams from banks, insurance companies, manufacturing companies, multi-national companies, airlines and media houses will take part in the event, said the association in a release on Thursday. — HNS
