Nepalgunj, April 13:
The CPN-UML general secretary, Madhav Kumar Nepal, warned today that anarchy will spread in the nation if constituent assembly polls are not conducted on time.
Stating that a prolonged transitional phase will harm the nation, Nepal said delay in the conduct of the CA polls will give rise to many problems.
Speaking at a press meet organised by the Banke chapter of the Press Chautari here, Nepal said, “A democratic republic will be established when the transitional period is over.”
Answering to a query about the CA polls, he said: “It is essential to hurry up to conduct the CA polls on time. It takes around 10 years to create a 100 per cent favourable environment for the polls.”
Stating that holding the CA polls was top priority not only for the CPN-UML but also the nation, Nepal said: “The CPN-UML will join the CA poll campaign with the slogan of an inclusive democracy.
Immediately after the announcement of the CA polls, the CPN-UML will come up with its formal declaration.”
The CPN-UML moves ahead according to the demand of time, he said.
