Kathmandu, April 25:

The visiting Swiss delegation led by Deputy Secretary of State at the Federal Department of Foreign Ministry of Switzerland, Heidi Tagliavini, today met Minister for Foreign Affairs Sahana Pradhan at Shital Niwas and discussed possible Swiss assistance to Nepal’s peace process.

“We are here to meet the representatives of the government and civil society.

We are eager to know the latest developments here,” said Heidi after her meeting with Pradhan.

She said Switzerland was ready to support Nepal’s peace process and her team was here to identify if there was a need for increasing Swiss development assistance. “This visit will help us assess if there is a need for more assistance,” she added.

About the postponement of CA polls, Heidi said that Switzerland would respect whatever decision the people of Nepal take on consensus.
