Lalitpur, April 30:
The ‘Education For All (EFA) by 2015’ programme is facing severe fund crunch worldwide, with most donors failing to keep their promises.
Fulfilling the ambitious goal of universal education by 2015 now looks very difficult with $9 billion of the promised fund not yet provided by donor countries.
A report prepared by the International Save the Children Alliance on April 2007 said there is currently a funding gap of $9 billion and of that, $3 billion was committed for basic education.
