Biratnagar, May 1:

General secretary of the Nepal Sadbhawana Party-Anandidevi (NSP-A), Hridayesh Tripathi, today said his party would form a joint front with the Madhesi Janaadhikar Forum (MJF) to participate in the constituent assembly polls.

Talking to journalists here today, Tripathi said: “We have already established a close relationship with the MJF for the purpose.” He said that a working relationship between the two parties would first be formed after which the two parties would become a single force.

Stating that the NSP-A was ready for an alliance with other agitating parties in Tarai, Tripathi said: “However, there will be no alliance whatsoever with Janatantrik Tarai Mukti Morcha (JTMM), who are waging an armed struggle in the Tarai.”

He added that NSP-A would rethink the association with JTMM if the latter holds talks with the government. He added that the NSP-A wants to go to CA polls after making a joint front of all forces active in the Tarai.

Stating that the unification of two NSPs would take place prior to the CA polls, Tripathi added that the unification process has been initiated. “The process of unification of the two parties, from central to village levels, will be completed after conducting a general convention,” he said.

“Former NSP chairman Badri Prasad Mandal and Mrigendra Kumar Yadav and others who were involved in the royal regime won’t be allowed to rejoin the party, as they have already been expelled,” he said.
