Inter-bank volleyball

KATHMANDU: Nepal Rastra Bank (NRB) is organising the Inter-bank Volleyaball Tournament here on May 16-25. In all, 12 teams from 11 banks will vie for championship organised to mark the 52nd anniversary of NRB. The participant banks include Agriculture Development, Everest, Kumari, Machhapuchhre, Rastriya Banijya Bank, Nepal Bangladesh Bank, Standard Chartered, Nepal Credit and Commerce, Bank of Kathmandu and Global Bank. The hosts will field two teams in the tournament played under league-cum-knockout system. The winners will walk away with Rs 40,000 while the second and third team win get Rs 25,000 and 15,000 respectively. — HNS

LALITPUR: Little Angels thrashed Ratna Rajya School 6-0 in the Coca Cola Cup Inter-school Football at the ANFA Technical Centre, Chyasal on Tuesday. Tek Bahadur Tamang scored twice and Bishal Adhikari Umesh Bhusal and CJ Kumar Bhote added in each for Little Angels. In other matches, Tripadma Vidyashram beat Shangri-La International 2-0, Babylon defeated Mahankaal Secondary 5-3 and Diamond School edged Grammer Public 5-4 in sudden death. At ANFA Complex Satdobato, Gitamata School defeated Balkumari 6-2, Gangchen outdid Ashirbaad School 3-1, Suryodaya Sai blanked Sahid Dharmabhakta 2-0 and Secret Heart edged out Changu Narayan 5-4 in tiebreaker. — HNS
