Charms of rustic life

Charms of rustic life

By Nabina Khadka, Galaxy Public School

I always thought that city was far better than life in the village. I thought so being used to the luxuries that a city has to offer. I thought that village life would be very unpleasant, uncomfortable and filled with sorrows. But I was wrong.

I realised this after spending few days in a village.

I went to visit a beautiful village named Barampur, which is located near Dharan. I thought that I would be bored in the village. But seeing the beauty of that village, I forgot the luxurious and comfortable life of the city.

The environment was very clean and beautiful. Almost all houses were surrounded by green trees. I could breathe fresh air.

The natural beauty of that place is better than the comforts of the city. There were green forests, rivers, open lands.

One thing that I liked the most about the villagers is the mutual cooperation and understanding among them. In the city, we usually even don’t know our neighbours. But people living in the village are very friendly and helpful.

The few days that I spent in that village changed my thinking and helped me develop a positive attitude towards village life.
