Damak, June 21:

The team of the United Nations Mission in Nepal (UNMIN) today interviewed 400 personnel of the Maoists’ People’s Liberation Army (PLA) at the PLA’s first division headquarters at Chulachuli in Ilam district.

The team also interviewed PLA personnel who had arrived in the camp from the Danabari sub-camp.

The interviews started at 8 am. The team comprising 120 members is interviewing

the Maoist combatants as part of the second phase of verification.

Around 3,221 PLA personnel were registered in the first phase of the verification of the PLA’s first division.

The team will start interviewing PLA personnel of sub-camps of Morang on Friday, a source at the PLA division headquarters said.
