Three killed in car mishap

Sindhupalchowk, July 5:

Three persons were killed when a car heading from Tatopani of Sindhupalchowk district to Kathmandu met with an accident along the Arniko Highway last night.

According to Kavre district police office, the car fell 50 metres down the main road into Cha river, killing 28-year-old Padam Bikram Thapa of Sindhupalchowk Ghumthan-7, Tanka Lal Shrestha, alias Hanuman Sailo of Irkhu VDC-7 and 27-year-old Kishore Shrestha of Dolakha Charikot.

The car caught fire soon after the mishap as it was carrying a gas cylinder. The bodies of the deceased were taken to the Tribhuvan University Teaching Hospital in Kathmandu for post mortem, police said.
