Shops shut in Pokhara

Pokhara, July 18:

Maoist-affiliated All Nepal Shop Workers’ Association (ANSWA) closed shops, commercial organisations and supply from today morning here.

They have been staging agitation with 17-point demands, saying that their demands have

been ignored.

Their have been demanding immediate implementation of Interim Labour Act and provision of an appointment letters to the workers working in commercial organisations.

The agitating workers chanted slogans to fulfil their demands and closed shops in the major areas of Pokhara, including Mahendrapul, Chipledhunga and Prithvi chowk.

They have threaten to stage an indefinite agitation if their demands were not fulfiled.
