According to our Hindu mythology,the great Ved Vyas wrote Mahabharatha. He also taught many people. Due to his contribution, he was so liked and respected by all people that htey started calling him ‘Guru’. They started worshipping him. From that day onwards people started celebrating ‘Guru Purnima’, which is celebrated even today.

We celebrate Guru Purnima to pay our respects to and remember our gurus. I respect all my teachers who have brought me to where I am standing today.

The qualities that a good teacher should possess are intelligence, honesty, kindness, and should be friendly and coopepative. I wish all the teachers of Nepal a very Happy Teachers’ Day.
