MAHENDRANAGAR:

Locals have voiced their objection to the proposed Talakot-Mahendranagar hydel power distribution line for the West Seti Hydel Project saying it will transgress on their private land. The locals are demanding that it be installed along alternative route.

At an interaction held on Sunday on the ecological effects of the power distribution lines of the project, they called for selecting another route to connect the power distribution lines with India.

Double circuit power distribution lines of 450 KV will be built for the 750 megawatt hydel project. India’s Bareilly-based Atamanda sub-station will be linked to Doti’s Pachanali through the Mahendranagar municipality.
