The Government of United Kingdom (UK) is all set to provide two million doses of coronavirus vaccine to Nepal in upcoming months.

Ambassador of the UK to Nepal Nicola Pollitt informed that vaccines worth around £550 million would be provided to Nepal. 'I am very happy and excited with the news,' ambassador Pollitt tweeted.

In coordination with the Ministry of Health and Population, World Health Organization Nepal and UNICEF, the vaccine will be distributed in Nepal, according to ambassador Pollitt.

Earlier, India had provided one million vaccines to Nepal and the first priority was given to front-line workers including health professionals and sanitisation workers across the country.
