Biratnagar, September 3:

A central member of the Young Communist League (YCL) and coordinator of the Kochila Rajya Sangathan Committee (KRSC), Dhruba Kumar Budathoki, today threatened to take “people’s action” against those indicted by the Rayamajhi and Mallik Commissions.

Budathoki was speaking at a press conference organised after the first meeting of the KRSC held here today. The KRSC comprises YCL cadres based in Jhapa, Morang and Sunsari.

Seeking the formation of the Youth Ministry and the release of the Maoists arrested by the government, the KRSC will embark on an agitation from September 6, the KRSC said in a statement. A memorandum will be sent to the prime minister through the Morang District Administration Office on September 6, Budathoki said. Pamphlets will be distributed, gatherings organised, and sit-ins and rallies will be staged during the first phase of the agitation, he said.
