After electrification, it’s party time for Dhungegaun folk

Locals of Dhungegaun, Shyama-4, elated at the electrification of their village a week ago, offered puja in the Samten Chhosling Monastery on August 30.
They danced and feasted on delicacies. The locals spent the entire night merry-making in the monastery. The electrification was carried out in the village under the rural energy development programme of Dolakha district development committee.
Four kilowatt of power has been generated from local Ghattakhola, Tika Joshi of AG Power Company said, adding that the power thus generated has been distributed in the village.
The project will benefit 37 households of Dhungegaun and adjoining
areas, chairman of the Ghattakhola Peltric Set Project Angchhiring Lama said, adding that the project was commissioned at the cost of Rs 7.5 lakh.
