Kathmandu, September 27:

Nepal Tourism Board is gearing up to organise a special programme to felicitate Prashant Tamang and request him to accept NTB’s proposal to become the brand ambassador of Nepal.

“The Ministry of Culture, Tourism and Civil Aviation has shown keen interest to felicitate Prashant with state honours for his significant achievement,” a senior NTB official told THT on condition of anonymity.

“Even the PMO has shown eagerness in this regard, and we are told that the prime minister himself is interested in meeting and congratulating Prashant,” the source added.

However, the details of the felicitation programme have not been made public as NTB talks with Surya Nepal, the official sponsor of the programme, are still on.
