Dysentery kills one in Banke

Nepalgunj, October 5:
One person died and over 10 are suffering of dysentery that spread in Karkodo VDC of Banke for a week.
A two-and-a-half-years- old child Kammar Ali, son of Idris Ali at Karkodo VDC-2 died of dysentery yesterday, over 10 persons are suffering and over 200 are affected by the disease, chief of epidemic control section at Banke District Public Health Office (DPHO), Ram Bahadur Chand said.
Other three members of Idris’s family are suffering from the disease and family members of Swami Dayal Barma, Suresh, Radheshyam and Bishweshor are also suffering, the DPHO said.
Nine patients who are critically falling sick have undergoing medical treatment at local Gayetri Medical, a local Kriparam Burma said.
The disease was seen due the polluted water, Chand said, adding, a health camp was organised in Mahadevpuri village development committee on Friday.
