Deepak Acharya extended his lead to 10-strokes on the second day of the Kailash Tea Open Golf Tournament here at Gokarna Forest Golf Resort today.
Acharya, who shot a personal best of seven-under on the first day for a six-stroke lead over Mani Rai, carded five-under on Wednesday and extended his lead to 10-strokes over over fellow Gokarna Forest Golf Resort pro Pashupati Sharma.
Sharma, who was joint third after the first round with two-over 74, carded a four-under 68. Deepak Thapa Magar and Ramesh Nagarkoti shared the third-position with a total of six-over 150 each.Mani Rai, who carded one-under 71 on the first day, slipped to fifth position with nine-over 81 on the second day, for a total of eight-ober 152.
In amateurs’ section, Krishnaman Shrestha shot four-over 76 and came on top with a total score of eight-over 152, while overnight leader Wanchen Dhondup, who had shot one-over 73 on the first day, carded eight-over 80, and was one-shot behind leader Shrestha.
