Damak, December 2:

The Sanghiya Limbuwan Rajyaparisad (SLR), which has been staging an agitation with the demand of Limbuwan state, has claimed that it has given military training to 6,000 youths.

The first phase of the one-month training of the Limbuwan Volunteers has concluded recently in the bordering areas of Ilam and Jhapa districts, a source of SLR’s mother organisation Sanghiya Loktantrik Rastriya Manch said, adding that the youths were trained to handle simple weapons.

The second phase of training will commence in a few days and they will be trained on various topics including military rules, education of human rights and knowledge of political issues, the source said.

Funs and explosive are not given to the volunteers during the training.
