Kathmandu, December 8:
Leaders of Nepali Congress have said the party should not agree on conditions put forward by the Maoists against decision of its mahasamiti.
Speaking at a programme organised here today by BP Chintan Prat-isthan, the leaders alleged that seven parties were not serious to implement people’s mandate and Maoist have not abided by the 12-point agreement and interim constitution.
Party general secretary KB Gurung said the proposals on republic and full proportional electoral system that were presented in the parliament were unconstitutional in their procedure itself.
Central member Govinda Joshi said Maoists turned against the polls after sensing they would not win in the election.
Another central member Khum Bahadur Khadka said his party followed the communist party by abandoning BP’s principles and ideology.
