And for good fate, we need to do good deeds,” says Ani Choying Dolma regarding her upcoming concert ‘Time for our Souls’ on December 15 at the Nepal Academy Hall for the benefit of National Kidney Centre, Balaju. “The concert is a shared mission to earn good merits,” she adds.

As she rehearses with a musical ensemble of some of country’s noted artistes at the Nepal Music Centre, Sinamangal, you get to feel their devotion towards the cause. Coincidentally, a student at the NMC also succumbed to kidney failure on December 13. “ There is very little awareness about the problem among the people, even those suffering from diabetes and blood pressure,” Ani Choying adds.

Apart from her soothing popular numbers, she will also be singing various mantras in a modern framework, and the songs from her latest album Time, which will also be launched at the occasion. The concert is being organised by Rotary Clubs of Kathmandu and Patan in association with Music Nepal and Nuns Welfare foundation. It is a part of Ani Choying’s initiative of a yearly fund-raising concert to help the needy institutions of the country. National Kidney Centre is a leading dialysis centre in the country with 30 fully operational dialysis machines.

The tickets for the concert are priced at Rs 2,000, Rs 1,000 and Rs 700 are available at the Nanglo, Durbarmarg, Bakery Café outlets and Suwal Video, Lazimpat, and later will be available at the concert venue.
