DAMAULI, FEBRUARY 6

Former energy minister and Nepal Communist Party (NCP) Dahal-Nepal faction standing committee member Barshaman Pun said that Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli and Home Minister Ram Bahadur Thapa would meet former king Gyanendra Shah's fate and their downfall was inevitable.

Addressing his party's gathering in Damauli, Tanahun, Pun stated that Oli and Thapa had tried to become kings with the security props provided by Nepal Police and the Nepali Army.

Pun further said that Oli had no right to call himself the leader of the NCP as he had set the party on fire.

He dared Oli to open the files of corruption in connection with Ncell, Yeti and Omni Group. 'Oli is the leader of all those who are mired deeply in corruption and malpractices. So, it will be futile to expect anything good from his government,' Pun stated. A version of this article appears in the print on February 7, 2021, of The Himalayan Times.
