KATHMANDU:

The Alliance of Professional Organisations of Nepal has condemned the killing of Manoharlal Shrestha, an employee with the Nepal Bank Limited’s Maisthan Branch in Birgunj and treasurer of the Parsa district committee of the Bank Employees’ Association. A criminal group had shot dead Shrestha on Sunday. In a press release, the alliance has demanded the government to declare Shrestha a martyr and provide his family with proper compensation and provide security to the life of professionals across the country.

The inter-bank employees’ association has demanded that the authorities nab the culprits and slap maximum punishment on them.
