The Paleti series by nepa~laya has become a major event for music lovers of the Valley. Time and again this event has brought maestros of Nepali music amongst the people who rejoice in spending an evening listening to soothing music. This month Paleti is completing a full circle as it is featuring an artiste who has been involved in the series from the very beginning. Singer Aavas will be performing at Paleti on December 28 at ‘R’shala of nepa~laya at Kalikasthan. Aavas has been coordinating the Paleti series from the time of its inception and has been contributing to contemporary Nepali music.

His career in music started with the band Sankalpa’ and ‘Aasthaa’, while his first studio recorded album was Palaa Palaa. Trained under respected gurus from both India and Nepal besides singing Aavas also writes and composes songs. The latest album of legendary singer Phattehman, ‘Gayak Pattehman at 70’ also has his creations.

While talking about being featured in Paleti he said, “For me singing at Paleti is like enjoying the fragrance of the flowers growing in my own garden. Many music lovers have been contributing to harnessing this flower. I hope, that this Paleti would again provide me the opportunity to come to proximity of music lovers.”
