Nepalgunj, December 28:

Police said six persons involved in lootings and planning robberies in Nepalgunj and along other Indo-Nepal border areas were arrested.

The six, including Ramesh Sonar alias Pandit, a resident of Balarampur of India, who was staying in Nepalgunj-16, were arrested recently, the Banke District Police Office (DPO) said. The Banke DPO made them public at a press conference here today.

Acting on a tip-off, Pandit, Shambhu Ramtel and Sabir Ahamad Siddhiki were arrested while they were decamping after stealing goods from a house belonging to Prakash Shah at Koreanpur of Nepalgunj on Wednesday night, superintendent of police at the Banke DPO Ghan Shyam Bhatt said.
