Kathmandu, January 1:

Balaju Karate-Do Academy is organising the first Nationwide Inter-dojo Karate Tournament here on January 11-13. More than 1,500 players from 60 districts will compete in the in tournament, said the president of the academy Dhruba Bikram Malla. The event features 16 weight categories in junior and senior boys’ and junior and senior girls section. The organisers also announced scholarships upto higher secondary school for talented five players in both the sections. Cash prizes has also been set aside for top three finishers in each category and best players apart from Rs 50,000, Rs 25,000 and Rs 12,500 for top three teams respectively.
