KATHMANDU: Have any plans for February 9? If not yet, then you have a mahotsav waiting for you at Jhamsikhel. To be organised on the occasion of 10th anniversary of Jhamsikhel Youth Club, Lalitpur, the Mahotsav promises to feature popular band 1974 AD and a number of folk music artistes to entertain you with Lok Doharis.

The festival also promises to have a number of food stalls and entertaining programmes like bingo, raffles, and fun park.

The Mahotsav, being organised for the first time by the youth club, is scheduled to begin at 12.30 pm and go on till 6.30pm.

“The programme is being organised to boost social cooperation, youth solidarity, raise awareness regarding various important historical, religious and cultural things in Jhamsikhel,” said Sandan Thapa Magar, programme coordinator.

Entrance is free.
