Declare tax-free zone’

SAPTARI: Speakers at a workshop on sustainable industrial development and environmental concerns on Friday demanded the government to declare Saptari a tax-free zone to provide relief to the industries suffering from conflict in Tarai. Repeated strikes, bandhs and extortion have been hitting industries hard in the district, they said. Central member of FNCCI Manoj Kumar Mundhada suggested to declare the district a tax free zone for at least five years. — RSS
