HBC FM scribes announce stir

By Himalayan News Service

Kathmandu, February 15:

Radio journalists, affiliated to the HBC FM, today decided to protest against the company’s sudden closure.

Issuing a statement, HBC Radio Journalists Joint Struggle Committee has stated that the closure was only a result of the on-going protest programmes of the media persons in the station. “The sudden shut-down of a radio station with just a public notice on the office gates is just irresponsible. We will continue our protests to have our rights secured,” says the statement, signed by Amrit Kharel, the secretary of the committee.
