Twenty-three Maoists, including six members of the Maoists’ Siraha district committee, on Sunday announced that they have joined the newly formed People’s Terai Liberation Front. The announcement was jointly made at a press meet at an undisclosed location. The front was headed by Jay Krishna Goit, who deserted the Maoists sometime ago. The front, with an armed movement, will make the Madheshis strong, the front stated. It said the front will work to liberate Madhesh and the Madheshis. — HNS
