Carlsberg launches ‘Win a trip to Switzerland’ campaign

Gorkha Brewery, the manufacturer of Carlsberg beer, has announced the ‘Give the Man of the Match award at Euro 2008’ promotion during the European Championship Football Tournament to be held in Austria and Switzerland from June 7-29.

The winner will get a chance to go to Switzerland to watch a quarter-final match on June 21 and present the man of the match award. A total of 16 teams are participating in the tournament. One lucky consumer of Carlsberg beer will not only get an opportunity to watch the Euro 2008 match, the winner can also take his friend all the way to Switzerland, said the Carlsberg in a release today.

The winner will be decided through a lucky draw from the coupons, which the consumers can get on a purchase of two Carlsberg beers. The draw ceremony will be held by the third week of May. The winner and his friend will board the flight by June 18. Carlsberg has been associated with football. From the much talked about association with top English football club, Liverpool FC, Carlsberg this time is all set for extensive promotions with the upcoming EURO 2008.

Carlsberg had brought the similar promotion in the last two years through ‘Win the Football Trip of a Lifetime’ in which Yugesh Bhakta Bade Shrestha and Subash Chandra Adhikari, won the opportunities to watch the English Premiership matches at Anfield, the home ground of Liverpool FC. Shrestha and Adhikari also presented the man of the match awards to Steven Gerrard and Javier Mascherano respectively.
