Floriculture fair starts

KATHMANDU: Kush Kumar Joshi, president of FNCCI inaugurated the 12th Floriculture exhibition organised by Floriculture Association of Nepal (FAN) at Bhrikutimandap on Wednesday. The fair has given a new dimension for the flower business as it has a good export potential, said Joshi, while Niranjan Baral, acting general secretary of Ministry of Industry, Commerce and Supplies said ministry is ready to provide any sorts of backing for this business. — HNS

NIC’s 13th branch

KATHMANDU: NIC Bank has opened its 13th branch in Bhaktapur on Wednesday. The new branch at Suryavinayak, will provide full range of products and services of the bank including all modern day banking facilities like trade finance, remittance, business banking, ATM/Debit cards, drafts, SMS banking and travellers cheques, states a press note. It is connected to all other branches through a V-Sat network enabling real-time on-line connectivity. — HNS

FNCCI team meets GS

KATHMANDU: The newly elected executive committee of FNCCI led by its president Kush Kumar Joshi met with UML general secretary (GS) Madhav Kumar Nepal, at the latter’s office on Wednesday. NCC holds 10th AGM

KATHMANDU: Nepal Credit & Commercial (NCC) Bank held its 10th AGM on Sunday. It is issuing 1:1 rights share to increase paid up capital as instructed by the NRB, states a press release. It claims to have collected Rs 62.4 billions deposit and invested Rs 52.5 billion. — HNS

GLI operational

KATHMANDU: Beema Samiti has issued licence to Gurans Life Insurance (GLI) for the life insurance business, states a press release. Chairman of the Beema Samiti Devendra Pratap Shah gave away the licence to Malchand Dugar, president of GLI at the former’s office. GLI is one of the companies that have been issued the licence for life insurance among the four life insurance companies. — HNS

NDBL holds 9th AGM

KATHMANDU: Nepal Development Bank Ltd (NDBL) held its nineth AGM on Monday. It is involving in merchant banking and real state business, states a press note. It is also going to offer visa cards and ATM cards. It is giving 1:1 rights shares. — HNS
