Mahendranagar, April 16:

Senior leader of the Nepali Congress and former prime minister Sher Bahadur Deuba has accused the Maoists of intimidating people to secure victory in the Constituent Assembly polls.

Speaking at a press conference organised by the Press Union here, Deuba said his party will move ahead after analysing the report to be filed by the election monitoring team of the NC.

He accused the CPN-Maoist of threatening people not to vote for other political parties.

Deuba claimed that the Nepali Congress lost after the Maoists threatened NC supporters not to vote for their party. Claiming that the people wanted to vote for the NC, he said: “They did not vote for the NC because they were threatened.”

He accused the Maoists of using many tricks and terrorising people to secure votes. Later, Deuba left for Dodhara and Chandani VDCs to interact with party cadres.
