Kathmandu, April 24:
Euro 2008 with its slogan “Expect Emotions” is all set to demonstrate the best of football moments at Basel stadium during the quarter-finals. In Switzerland, Basel has the reputation of a successful sporting city.
The FC Basel continue to be most thriving and in recognition of this, the city has been chosen as one of the venues for the 2008 Euro Championships, along with Geneva, Zurich and Bern. The event will be jointly hosted by Switzerland and Austria.
The St Jacobs Park is the venue for six matches — three group games, two quarter-finals and a semi-final. It is the largest football venue in the country. “Joggeli”, as the venue is nicknamed, has the capacity of 42,500 seats. Basel is the ideal place for EURO 2008 and to get an opportunity to watch the quarter-final match at St Jacobs is yet again the biggest thrill. In addition, when a person gets a chance to present the man-of-the-match award, it becomes an experience of incomparable value.
Carlsberg offers the opportunity to be a part this experience to the Nepali fans through a promotion, “Give the Man of the Match Award at EURO 2008, Switzerland.” All the consumers need to do is buy two bottles of Carlsberg and get a coupon, one half of which is to be dropped in the ‘drop box’. The winner will be announced through a lucky draw.
The winner gets an all-paid trip for himself and a friend to Basel to watch the quarter-final match on June 21. If sharing makes cherished moments, experiencing the biggest football dream with Carlsberg is the way to do it.
