Kathmandu, May 11:

The Constituent Assembly Court today summoned the Election Commission, District Election Office Sarlahi and the CA election winner from Sarlahi-5 Khobhari Raya to be present before the Court on May 27.

A three-member bench of justices Anup Raj Sharma, Top Bahadur Magar and Ram Kumar Prasad Shaha issued the order following today’s hearing.

The bench has said that it would decide whether to issue an interlocutory order after hearing on May 27.

A Tarai Madhes Democratic Party candidate Jangi Lal Raya, who lost to Khobhari of the Nepal Sadhbhawana Party, challenged the poll result and had accused Khovari and his supporters of capturing booths.

Meanwhile, the bench today said there was no need to issue an interlocutory stay order as sought by Dev Karan Prasad Kalawar against Hridayesh Tripathi from Nawalparasi-6.

The issue would be settled while deciding the case so there is no need for an interlocutory stay order as demanded by defeated candidate, the bench said following hearings.
