Mangal Deep School finished top of the Group B at the selection tournament or the Coca Cola Cup Inter-school National Football Tournament here today.

Mangal Deep edged out Nepal Central School 4-1 in tiebreaker after a 2-2 draw. Tsering Dorje and Robin Lama scored a goal each for Mangal Deepa while Himosh Bogati and Bishwo Raj Shah converted for Nepal Central in the normal time. Mangal Deep will play against the winners of Group A for a place in the league stage.

Likewise, Sunshine High School, Pashupati Mitra and Bishwo Gorkha advanced to the quarter-finals in Group D. Anup Basnet scored the winner as Sunshine edged Mahakabi Devkota Memorial 1-0.

Pashupati Mitra beat Dhruba Tara 3-1. Bimal Sapkota scored a brace and Hari Prasad Poudel added the other for Pashupati Mitra while Ram Gurung scored for Dhruba Tara. Bishwo Gorkha defeated Gurukul Public School 3-1. Sagar Gurung, Mahesh Bahadur Rokka and Anil Thapa scored for Bishwo Gorkha while Anil Pandey converted for Gurukul.
