Bhojpur, May 24:

Ram Kumar Rai, whose family was displaced from Bhojpur after Maoist cadres beat up his family three years ago, has filed a case in Bhojpur district administration office seeking relief.

His family has been living in Mahendranagar VDC-9 of Sunsari ever since the Maoists thrashed and expelled them from the village in 2005.

After finding his house damaged when he returned to the village on April 4, Rai moved the DAO for relief to repair the house and to help the family return to the village. A group of Maoists had beaten up the family members, seized their house and expelled the three-member family from the village on November 23, 2005.
