Activists of the Janatantrik Tarai Mukti Morcha )Jwala Singh) shot dead an employee of Simara-based Surya Nepal Pvt. Ltd last night following his abduction the same evening.

Surya Nepal employee Lila Prasad Lamichhane, who was abducted from Dumarwana-8 while returning home in the evening, was found dead near Dudhaura River

at around 9 pm. JTMM-J district leader Bikrant owned up the incident over the phone.

Lamichhane died of bullet injury in the temple, inspector at Simara Area Police Office Devi Prasad Poudel said. Lamichhane had been working as machine operator in the factory for the last 17 years.

Irate relatives, workers of Surya Nepal and locals obstructed traffic in Simara, Pathlaiya, Neejgarh and Amlekhgunj road sections from 1 pm today to protest the killing.

Several labour organisations, including All Nepal Trade Union, Nepal Trade Union Federation and Nepal Trade Union Congress, condemned the killing and demanded security for workers and strict action against the guilty.
