KATHMANDU:

The National Human Rights Commission (NHRC) on Thursday asked the government to take legal action against the people involved in dowry related crimes and to implement the previous recommendations in this regard. Citing the recent incidents in Rautahat and Sunsari districts where such crimes were repeating, the NHRC called the government to be serious about implementing constitutional provision and international treaty regarding the women’s rights. — HNS
