Minibus torched after mishap

Kathmandu, August 5:

Irate people today set ablaze a minibus belonging to Mid-Valley Bus Entrepreneurs’ Association at Bijuli Baazar after it collided with a motorbike.

“When I was heading to Ratna Park at around 9:25 am, I saw a motorbike falling at one side and two people suddenly attacked me even without talking to me,” said Ram Prasad Baga, the driver of the bus. He said he had to flee from the scene to save his life after a mob began attacking him and the minibus.

Vice president of the association Laxmi Prasad Basi said the minibus was set on fire after rumours of the bus trying to run over the motorcyclist on back gear spread like wildfire.
