My first love

My first love

By Rishi Singh

She is someone who is beside me, someone full of goodness, someone whose shadow is the shade of my life, and is like God for me. The only person who understands me the most and loves me to the fullest, she can be none other than my dear mother. It is true that God made mothers so that he could be with each one of us, showering love and care.

My mum is my ideal person. She cares and loves me so much that my love for her is very little as compared to hers. She helps me in every difficulty. She is the medicine of my life and the fuel for me to move on.

Mamma, Mum, Mummy, Mamu are the few words that every child loves to say. And a smile is sure to appear on anyone’s face when the sweet image of hers just flashes in our mind.

I am one of them too. My mum is the one who fills all the gaps in my life and gives me all the world’s happiness. I just wish I can fulfil all her dreams and bring the whole world’s happiness to her feet. I am so grateful to her for every little thing she does for me. The way she cries when I am in pain, the way she prepares food for me, the way she tries to keep me in her lap although I am almost as big as her, the way her eyes shine when she sees me happy, the way she gets irritated and scolds me for my mistakes, the way she gives me a goodnight kiss, the way she tells me different success stories of great people and encourages me to be a very nice human being — I am blessed to have such a wonderful mother.

Words are never enough when I have to describe my mom. I once read about a mother’s love written by Art Urban, “A mother’s love is like a circle; it has no beginning and no ending. It keeps going around and around ever expanding, touching everyone who comes in contact with it. Engulfing them like the morning’s mist, warming them like the noon-time sun, and covering them like a blanket of evening star; it has no beginning and no ending.”

This indeed is true. I would like to make a request to everyone that since we have the most precious person with us, never forget to show her that you love her. That will make her feel on top of the world. This article is dedicated to my darling, my first love — my mamma.
