NEW YORK: Sexy ‘American Pie’ actress Tara Reid plays an anthropologist in ‘Alone in the Dark’, director Uwe Boll’s paranormal thriller co-starring Christian Slater.

Reid, who started out as a child actor appearing in TV commercials, feels she is at a critical crossroad in her career.

Reid, 29, believes her reputation as a “big party girl” is jeopardising her future as an actress. “To find myself as a poster girl for wild behaviour is affecting my career, my work,” she was quoted as saying. The star of ‘My Boss’ Daughter’ and ‘Josie and the Pussycats’ is looking forward to the new horror thriller, where she plays an anthropologist. ‘Alone in the Dark’ is based on a video game. Slater plays a detective of the paranormal, who unravels the truth about certain mysterious events with deadly results. — IANS
